Loop is a music discovery ecosystem built around discovering music, supporting artists, and rewarding activity. Whether you're here to find your next favorite artist, upload your own music, complete listening challenges, or earn through the Loop ecosystem, this Help Center can help you get started.
Loop is a music discovery and social platform where listeners can discover music, interact with artists, support songs, complete listening challenges, and participate in a creator-focused music ecosystem.
Artists can upload music, build an audience, and participate in Loop's monetization systems.
Download the Loop app or visit the Loop website and follow the account creation process. You'll need to provide the information requested during signup, including an email address and basic profile information.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your location.
Yes. You may have multiple Loop accounts, but each account must use a different email address and artist name.
Multiple accounts cannot be used to artificially manipulate listens, likes, followers, Boosts, earnings, rankings, or other Platform activity.
Yes, where the feature is available. Changing your username does not transfer ownership of your account or allow you to sell or transfer your account to another person.
Loop's discovery system uses signals from activity on the Platform. Depending on the feature, these may include listening activity, listening retention, likes, skips, comments, genres, fans and followers, playlists, Boosts, and other engagement signals.
The goal is to help users discover music while giving artists opportunities to reach new listeners.
Loop may use discovery and recommendation systems to determine what plays next. The exact order and recommendations may vary based on your activity and the current discovery experience.
Yes. Skipping is part of the listening experience and may also be used as one of the signals that helps Loop understand your music preferences.
Yes, if the location features are available and you choose to enable them. Loop can use your location to help you discover artists near you.
Your real-time precise location is not publicly displayed to other users. Your profile may display your general city and state.
You can use Loop's artist upload features to submit music. When uploading music, you must have the rights and permissions necessary to upload and distribute the content through Loop.
Yes. You must own or control the rights necessary to upload, distribute, stream, display, promote, and monetize your music on Loop.
This includes applicable rights relating to recordings, compositions, lyrics, beats, samples, artwork, performances, producers, featured artists, and collaborators.
No, unless you have the legal rights and permissions necessary to do so. Having a copy of a song does not automatically give you permission to upload it.
No. Loop does not allow duplicate uploads of the same song.
Yes. When uploading a song, you can identify collaborators and provide applicable ownership or revenue percentages.
You are responsible for making sure the collaborators agree to the information and percentages submitted through Loop.
Loop may temporarily restrict or disable content while investigating a copyright or ownership complaint. The artist may be notified and given an opportunity to respond or appeal in ordinary cases.
Serious, clear, or repeated infringement may result in immediate removal or account enforcement.
Copyright complaints can be submitted to: copyright@loopapp.com
Boosts are a non-monetary Loop feature that can give a song additional visibility within Loop's discovery system. Boosts are earned through engagement and Platform activity.
Loop's scoring framework can include up to 75 points from other discovery signals. Boosts can contribute up to an additional 25 points.
This creates a maximum possible score of 100 points within that framework.
Boost activity on a song generally applies for approximately 48 hours. After that period, the Boost contribution expires from the song's active Boost calculation.
A song can receive up to 25 Boost points during the applicable daily period. Once the maximum Boost contribution has been reached, additional Boosts do not increase that day's Boost score.
Yes. You can Boost your own song or another artist's song.
No. Boosts are earned through engagement and activity. They cannot be purchased with money.
No. Boosts have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, sold, transferred for money, or exchanged for monetary earnings.
Boosts are completely separate from Loop's monetary systems.
No. Unused Boosts do not expire. However, Boosts applied to a song are subject to the applicable active Boost period.
Quests are activity-based challenges that reward users for completing qualifying activities on Loop. Examples may include listening to a certain number of songs or completing other Platform activities.
A challenge will display its requirements and applicable reward before or during the challenge. Once you complete the qualifying activity, Loop can credit the applicable reward to your account.
Yes. Loop may change future challenge requirements, reward amounts, eligibility requirements, or availability. Each challenge will display its applicable reward and requirements.
No. They are separate systems. Boosts are non-monetary visibility tools. Challenge rewards may provide monetary earnings.
Boosts cannot be converted into, substituted for, or exchanged for monetary earnings.
Yes. Eligible artists may earn money through Loop's available monetization systems. The amount an artist earns can vary based on the applicable monetization system and activity.
For eligible advertising revenue attributable to an artist's monetized activity, Loop's current Terms provide for a 70% artist share and a 30% Loop share.
The artist share is based on applicable Net Advertising Revenue, as defined in the Terms of Use. The artist's share may also be divided among approved collaborators according to the applicable percentages entered through Loop.
Net Advertising Revenue is advertising revenue actually received by Loop that is attributable to applicable monetized activity, after applicable deductions described in the Terms of Use.
These may include certain third-party advertising fees, payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, invalid-activity adjustments, and other directly attributable deductions.
No. Advertising revenue can vary based on factors such as advertising demand, ad impressions, user activity, geographic location, advertiser rates, invalid activity, and third-party advertising systems.
Artist earnings have a 60-day holding period before becoming eligible for withdrawal.
For example, earnings accumulated during January may complete the holding period and become available for withdrawal on April 1, provided the account meets all applicable requirements.
The minimum withdrawal amount is $10. Loop may require account verification before processing a withdrawal.
Yes, when there is a legitimate reason to investigate activity affecting the validity of the earnings. This may include suspected fraud, copyright violations, chargebacks, refunds, payment disputes, or legal claims.
Loop may also make appropriate adjustments for chargebacks, refunds, fraud-related losses, or other applicable amounts.
Not automatically. Termination by itself does not automatically mean legitimate earned funds are forfeited.
However, Loop may withhold or delay funds reasonably connected to suspected fraud, copyright violations, chargebacks, refunds, or legal claims, to the extent permitted by law.
Upload Credits are credits that may be used for eligible music-upload functionality on Loop. They may be purchased with real money or earned through qualifying listening challenges or activities.
No. Upload Credits and Boosts are completely different systems.
Upload Credits may have monetary purchase value for eligible Platform functionality. Boosts are non-monetary engagement units and cannot be exchanged for Upload Credits or cash.
Unless required by applicable law, Upload Credit purchases are final and non-refundable.
Yes, where song purchases are available. Prices will be displayed before purchase.
Unless required by applicable law, song purchases are final and non-refundable.
A song may be removed from Loop for reasons including copyright disputes, policy violations, or other legitimate reasons. Loop does not guarantee that content will remain available indefinitely.
Applicable refund rights are governed by the Terms of Use and applicable law.
For ordinary violations, Loop may use a three-strike system. Strikes generally expire after 90 days. Each strike may be appealed one time.
Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without going through the normal three-strike process.
Yes. Each strike may be appealed one time. Loop will review the appeal and determine whether the enforcement action should remain in place.
A terminated user may create another account only if permitted by Loop. A new account must use a different email address and artist name.
You cannot create a new account to evade an active suspension or enforcement action.

Loop may initially use non-personalized advertising. Loop may introduce personalized advertising in the future where permitted by applicable law and supported by the appropriate privacy controls and consent mechanisms.
